Difference Between Life Path and Angel Numbers in Numerology

Numerology can be defined as a number science, and more people developed an interest in it in recent years. During our ancestor’s era, astrology was more popular. Astrology is a study of stars and zodiac signs. Numerology and Astrology belong to the same category, i.e. reading your past, present, and future. Numerology is believed to originate from foreign lands. It is based on the concept of revealing people’s nature, weaknesses and strengths by calculating the life path number from their birth dates and names. Angel number is another fantastic concept based on number sequences and patterns. Often people get confused with the life path and angel numbers and consider them similar terms. Though both relate to number studies, still they differ. Let’s understand each term separately. 

 

What Are Life Path Numbers and How Are They Formed?

A life path number is an individual’s specific number derived from their birth dates and names. Usually, these are single digits, but there are some master numbers like 11, 22, and 33, which are not computed to single digits. We describe this further with an example. 

Suppose your birth date is 30th October 1974. We need to evaluate these figures to a single digit. 

• 30th means 3+0 = 3
• October is 10th month, i.e. 1+0 = 1
• 1974= (1+9+7+4) 21. 21 = 2+1 = 3. 

Thus, 3+1+3 = 7.

The life path number for individuals born on 30th October 1974 is 7. 

As per the characteristics of the number 7 in numerology, you can guess and illustrate an individual’s nature, strengths, and weaknesses. Accordingly, they can choose their career, life partner, new projects, etc. 

 

What are Angel Numbers and How Do They Work?

Unlike the Life Path numbers, angel numbers are not computed. They are described as patterns and sequences formed with the same digits between 0 and 9, like 22.22, 1.11, 777, 0000, etc. Like the path number, angel numbers are related to a specific group of people. 

Angel numbers are defined as signs and signals delivered by the universe in the way of numbers. You cannot plan to see angel numbers, but they are significant when they occur naturally. For example, you cannot set the alarm at 4.44 or plan to buy a garment costing 88.88 rupees. 

Angel numbers have no specific time or place to occur, but it can happen that you bought some food and the bill totals 9.99 rupees. People believing in spirituality get excited seeing angel numbers on their way. 

Each sequence and pattern formed with digits have different signals for people who happen to witness them. Unlike the Life Path number, angel numbers are not fixed.
